Community Art Gallery is pleased to invite members of the Niagara community to submit a

work of art to the juried exhibition - OUR COMMUNITY - presented by the Community Art Gallery.

 

All mediums are welcome, with the exception of freestanding pieces and media art, which are

not eligible for submissions. We ask that your work follows the theme of “Our Community”, as

interpreted by you. All of the artwork chosen by a jury will be on display in the constituency

offices of Malcolm Allen, M.P., and Cindy Forster, M.P.P. for an exhibition period of 3 months.

 

Conditions of entry:

 

- Photocopies or mechanically reproduced Giclees will NOT be accepted.

- No piece can exceed 24” x 24”

- All works to be hung must be mounted or framed must be wired and label must be attached

securely to the back.

- Each picture must have rings or screw eyes on both sides at the back of the piece, placed no

more than 6” down from the top of the frame and the wire at least 3” below the top of the

frame, (so that the piece will not lean forward on the wall or show the hanging device at the

top).

- The identification label provided must be affixed to the back lower left corner of the work.

- All work must follow the theme of Community.

- Maximum 3 submissions per artist.

- To submit art work please submit a digital image (.pdf or .jpg)

 

Deadline for Submissions: Sunday July 20th, 2014

Notification of Acceptance: Monday July 28th, 2014

Accepted pieces which are ready to hang must be dropped off at Member of Parliament,

Malcom Allen’s office between: July 28th 2014 - August 3rd, 2014
